In I’ll Be Your MirrorJohn Marriott‘s first solo exhibition at MKG127, he presents recent sculptures, collages, paintings and installation work. These artworks take familiar iconography, objects and ideas and rework them, intervening in the appearances and meaning that we identify them with as we fit them purposefully into our world-views. In doing so these various projects disrupt and probe the role of recognition and interpretation in our processes of awareness and understanding.
