In MKG127‘s front space, Micah Adams presents ongoing pattern studies and material experiments in brass, copper, silver and wood. One project is made up of square brass tubes found at a hobby store, another work is a pile leaves cut from copper pennies. Other works on view will be sculptural forms based on magnified images of the structure of foam, realized in silver and wood.

Originally from Nova Scotia, Adams began his formal art training at John Abbott College Cegep in Montréal and later received his BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, in Halifax. Upon Graduation in 2008, he pursued a three year residency in Toronto at Harbourfront Centre’s Metal/Jewellery studio. Currently living in Philadelphia, PA, he is looking forward to participating in the Visiting Artist Residency at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA, in December 2013.
